All three Care Homes have yet again received prestigious regional awards from for being ranked in the Top Twenty Care Homes in the South West of England in 2021. Each home’s ranking is based on its review score and there are presently over 2,250 registered care homes in the region, so having all three homes each receiving a Top Twenty Award again is a fantastic achievement. This goes a long way towards recognising the long term and consistent level of exceptional care provided by the dedicated and caring staff. The homes are also presently ranked by as the top three in the whole of Devon. Doveleigh Care Ltd has also received a National Top Twenty Group Award 2021. This is the sixth consecutive year that the company has been recognised as one of the best 20 care home operators in the whole of the United Kingdom.

All three homes are supported by a great team of staff with a range of skills and experiences. This includes the management team, care staff, activities, maintenance staff, cooks and domestics. The skills of individuals are utilised across all of the homes to ensure all residents are able to benefit. Our continued success and recognition has been through the incredible efforts and dedication of our wonderful, hardworking staff team. Doveridge Care Home has recently had an outside area converted into a bespoke “Sensory Garden”, which further enhances the quality of life of its dementia residents.

Not only are all three homes presently rated “Outstanding” by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) which is some feat in itself, but what is more impressive is that all three have been awarded their second consecutive Outstanding rating by CQC, which is an absolutely amazing achievement. CQC has rated Arcot House in Sidmouth to be Outstanding in all 5 domains of inspection for the second time, which makes it the first and only residential care home in the country to achieve this incredible feat!
