Outstanding Local Care Home Group Wins Care Employer Of The Year Award!

Doveleigh Care Ltd operates three care homes in Devon providing care of an exceptional standard. This has been recognised by CQC who awarded all three homes an outstanding rating in their most recent reports. This makes Doveleigh Care Ltd the first care home Group Provider in the UK to achieve an outstanding rating across all of its care homes.

All the homes are supported by a team of staff with a range of skills and experiences compromising the management team, care staff, maintenance staff, cooks and domestics. Most importantly, we also employ a team of Activity Co-ordinators to ensure that our residents receive a high level of interaction and stimulation. The skills of individuals are utilised across all three homes to ensure all residents are able to benefit. For example, we have two members of staff who have undertaken training in massage therapy. This is now offered to residents free of charge in all three homes. Our fleet of disability vehicles is also available to assist in getting our residents out on regular trips to the shops, seaside, dental and medical appointments or just a drive around the local areas to take in the beautiful scenery.

Doveleigh Care Ltd’s considerable achievements have been recognised on both a national and regional level. In the recent 2017 National Care Awards, Doveleigh Care Ltd won both the Care Home Group of the Year category and the acclaimed National Care Home of the Year award, which was won by Arcot House in Sidmouth.

More recently, Doveleigh Care Ltd was shortlisted in the South West Regional Finals of the Great British Care Awards in Bristol where they won the Care Employer of the Year award. In addition to this and against very strong competition, Samantha Evens, the manager at Dove Court Care Home in Seaton, won the prestigious Registered Manager Of The Year award.
