Dove Lodge Care Home
About Dove Lodge
Dove Lodge Care Home (formally known as Summerleaze Care Home) is the most recent acquisition for Doveleigh Care Ltd. Dove Lodge is in the lovely seaside town of Exmouth, which has the longest seafront in Devon and Cornwall at just a 5-minute drive from the home.
Dove Lodge is an aesthetically linked pair of villas, which has lovely garden areas and plenty of parking space for those who drive. Within the home it is registered for 31 residents, and all rooms have private ensuite facilities. Furniture is available in each room; however, you can have your own furniture if required.
The home is spaced out over the two joining villas, with the spacious dining room positioned in the middle. Other than mealtime, the dining room is usually where lots of the residents come together for activities led by the activity team throughout the day. With music usually being played in the background, it can be for those who enjoy both relaxing and/or socialising. The Activity Team are always open to suggestions, as we encourage residents to keep their interests at large or to try new things. If residents would like to go out, our Activity Team have ‘Dove Bugs’ where we can easily get residents in and out of. Lots of our residents like to go for days out, especially in the summer!
We have two lounges, one that we call a ‘TV lounge’ with lots of movies and tv programmes to choose from, and the other a ‘Quiet lounge’ which joins onto our small library, where residents like to sit and relax with a newspaper, magazine or book.
With lots of seating options throughout the home, we aim to please everybody with their preferences.
All residents have access to a smart ‘Call Bell’ system 24/7, where they can alert the care team if they need assistance or in case of an emergency.
Dove Lodge provides 24-hour care for their residents, with care plans tailor made with full consideration for each person. It is important that we understand each resident and their different needs so we can ensure that the best care is given for their health and wellbeing. We believe that also having a social life is just as important, so we encourage family, friends and loved ones to visit as much as possible.
