What we have been up to in March

We had a full calendar of events throughout March from starting a new choir to having a game or two of tin-can alley and enjoying a hair pampering session.

First Indoor Visits

Government restrictions on visits have begun to lift as part of the road map out of lockdown.

St Patricks Day

Residents and staff always welcome the chance to celebrate and St Patrick’s Day is a particular favourite.

Red Nose Day

Our amazing staff team turned into Superhero’s for Red Nose Day and a MARVELous day was had by all.

A Visit from Daisy

Bridget bought Daisy the dog in for a visit. ‘Hasn’t she grown’ said some of the residents as they have not seen her for a long time due to visiting restrictions.

St Patrick’s Day

We celebrated St Patrick’s Day with a variety of entertainment.  Residents enjoyed tasting Irish themed cakes washed down with plenty of Guinness.

Waffle Day

Happy National Waffle day. We had a wonderful day celebrating Waffle Day, not that we need an excuse to eat waffles!

Our first visit from Jessie

Rosie bought her dog Jessie in to visit us. There was a lot of excitement when Jessie arrived. Petting Jessie bought back many happy memories for residents who used to have dogs. Jessie enjoyed the attention and a sneaky treat or two. Jessie went home a full and tired pup. We look forward to seeing Jessie in the future.

Mexican March

We had an armchair travel to Mexico where we dressed up in Sombreros and wore authentic Mexican moustaches, while trying out various Mexican dishes cooked up by Jane.
Who looked the most menacing Mexican? We dare not say, but everyone had a great time and loved the food!

In the Garden

We had a fun gardening quiz outside in Arcot garden, where everyone enjoyed some March sunshine and answered some questions on gardening.
