New Deputy Manager at Aroct House

It is with great pleasure we can announce that Sally O’Sullivan has been promoted to the position of Deputy Manager at Arcot House with effect from 1 February. Sally brings a wealth of experience to the position. We wish Sally all the very best in her new role.

We have recruited an additional Assistant Manager, Helene Pederson.  Helene has significant experience in care.  We welcome Helene to our team and wish her well in her role with the Company.

Promotion at Arcot House!

We are delighted to announce Stacie McGrory’s promotion to Assistant Manager.  We would like to congratulate Stacie on her well-earned promotion and wish her every success in her new position.

Congratulations go to Ramune!

Congratulations go to Ramune Juciene on becoming the Registered Manager at Doveridge. Ramune has the necessary skills and is well qualified for this post.  She already holds a QCF Level 5 qualification in Leadership for Health and Social Care in Adults Residential Management. Ramune has considerable experience in her previous roles as Deputy Manager and Acting Manager. We wish Ramune every success in the future.

Burns night

Shortbread and a wee dram were enjoyed by all after their Burns Night celebration dinner. Sounds of bag pipes, poetry and songs were part of the Burns Night party.

Soap making

We raised the bar with sessions on how to make our own soap. The scents of roses and lavender brought back wonderful memories during the activity which saw a variety of soaps being made.

Armchair Travel.

We had an armchair travel to America. Hot dogs and doughnuts were washed down with root-beer.

Sports Day

The staff and residents were busy this month raising money for their local Pre- school Caterpillars to raise funds to purchase a digital camera.

Crossword group

A new crossword group had been set up by likeminded residents who enjoy sharing their extensive general knowledge skills.

Burns Night

Our annual Burns Night celebrations included the Address of the haggis was undertaken to the sounds of bagpipes.  The Selkirk Grace was said before everyone tucked into the traditional haggis with tatties and neeps.  Scottish themed music, a quiz and other Scottish themed activities were laid on by our activity team.
